Interventional Radiology and Pain Management
Interventional radiology treats and diagnoses conditions through a tiny needle, using CT or ultrasound to guide it precisely — no open surgery, less pain and a faster recovery. Most procedures are done as outpatient, so you go home the same day.
CT-guided nerve blocks for back pain: a targeted injection, placed under CT guidance, to relieve chronic lower back pain, sciatica and other nerve pain when tablets and physiotherapy have not helped.
Image-guided biopsy: a small tissue sample taken with a fine needle under CT or ultrasound guidance (for example from a lump, the liver, thyroid, lung or lymph nodes), so your doctor gets an accurate diagnosis without surgery.
Image-guided drainage: safe drainage of abscesses and fluid collections using CT or ultrasound guidance.
